Description
Expertly engineered picture lighting
Originally Developed in 1978 by Horst Lettenmayer for ‘The Paintings House’ in Munich, the Clarus has become the picture light of choice for art collectors, galleries and museums ever since.
Now available in 9 different finishes with 3 individual arm designs and 11 tube length modules to choose from and a maximum length of 5 metres when using the coupling arm to join multiple lengths, its flexibility allows the lighting of many applications including artwork, pictures, mirrors, desks and signs.
The Clarus picture light is equiped with an LED linear light source within a 14mm tube which rotates 360 degrees alllowing for precise orientation. The LED light source has an extremely low power consumption, runs very cool, has a very low UV output and has an extremely long lamp-life.
Incandescent replacement lamps for previous models have become increasingly difficult to source (due to EU energy efficiency regulations), and therefore LED Conversion kits are now available making these older units virtually maintenance free and extremely economical to run. The conversion is a simple procedure best done by a competent electrician. However, we can carry out the upgrade of the lamp contacts and wiring of the LED driver, and it will just remain for your electrician to actually install the unit and connect it to the mains supply.
