Getting in the mood with Astro bathroom lighting
We have recently added some great new products to our Astro lighting collection. With their range of innovative contemporary lighting ever expanding, the interior and exterior high quality products are all designed to meet with stringent safety requirements. Their range of ceiling lights, wall lights, uplighters and spotlights are suited for every type of room, however they specialise in bathroom lighting, offering the largest range of bathroom lighting in the whole of Europe.
Bathroom lighting has to be multifunctional. It needs to be bright enough for you to apply make- up or shave and at other times soothing enough for those long, hot baths. Bathroom light fittings must be installed strictly according to the Zone for which they were designed –more information on Bathroom Zones can be found at IP Zoning – Technical Information. Light switches and dimmers must be positioned OUTSIDE the bathroom. The only type of switches allowed in bathrooms are ceiling mounted pull-switches and battery operated lighting controls. For convenience, it is also possible to have a pull-switch IN the bathroom for on/off control of lights and ventilation, with the Dimmers mounted outside. This allows you to set the light level to very low intensity before going to bed, so you aren’t blinded awake should you need to visit the bathroom in the middle of the night!
Often, the focal point of the beautiful bathroom is the mirror. Astro have a wonderful range of illuminated mirrors to suit everyone:-
