Known originally as Stanwall Electric until 1986, Ormrod Electric is now the pre-eminent electrical wholesaler of residential and commercial lighting in West London with lighting showroom facilities and electrical and lighting trade counter at 173/175 Chiswick High Road.
We provide advice and specialist lighting solutions to the entertainment and public sectors. Our work in conjunction with Thorn Lighting in 1995 on UK House (formerly Waring & Gillow in Oxford Street) proved a benchmark for subsequent exterior lighting design for buildings in its innovation and respect for the environment.
Other work has included The Space and Hologram galleries in the Science Museum, The National Media Museum in Bradford, Airports, major motor manufacturers showrooms, 2 major shoe shop chains, the London offices of a large international bank and even No. 10 Downing Street.
Within the trade sector, we are proud to have worked with organisations such as:
– The Science Museum
– The Ministry of Defence
– British Home Stores
– K Shoes
– Hambros Bank
– SG Warburg, etc.
…and many major architectural and design practices, restaurants, hotels, airlines, and motor manufacturers.
The Theatre, set lighting for film, and TV productions have provided many interesting and exciting professional challenges
We have even advised on and supplied critical support switchgear for some of the very largest computer networks in the world.
We continue to provide a growing service to the public, from our Chiswick base – offering advice on fittings, and electrical infrastructure planning, via a network of experienced and knowledgeable electrical contractors, with whom we have built up a good working relationship.
