• Summary: This construction allows heat from the lamp to be effectivly dissipated, preventing the terminal block and downlight from overheating. When exposed to the fire the intumenscent material will swell to approx 36 times its original volume, providing an insulating barrier against the fire and effectively sealing the hole once occupied by the downlight.
