About the Company
Originally known as Stanwall Electric until 1986, Ormrod Electric is now the pre-eminent electrical wholesaler for residential and commercial lighting in West London with lighting showroom facilities and trade counter at 173/175 Chiswick High Road.
We also provide diverse lighting advice and the supply of specialist lighting solutions for the entertainment and public sectors. Our involvement with the television and film industries has seen us contribute to films such as, Richard Attenborough's "Chaplin", Oliver Stone's "Alexander", "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", "Goal!" and "Children of Men". Our work in conjunction with Thorn Lighting in 1995 on UK House (formerly Waring & Gillow in Oxford Street) proved a benchmark for subsequent flood lighting design for buildings in its innovation and respect for the environment.
Other work has included The Space and Hologram galleries in the Science Museum, The National Media Museum in Bradford, Airports, major motor manufacturers showrooms, 2 major shoe shop chains, the London offices of a large international bank and even No. 10 Downing Street.
